The CapLAN crew is proud to introduce a new LAN series in Vancouver. AELAN is a gaming add-on to the already popular Anime Evolution which attracted 4200 people last year.

AE:

Anime Evolution is an annual anime convention originally held in 1986 (Under a different name), and has since evolved into one of the largest geek fests in the area. Anime Evolution 08 will be held at SFU on August 22nd-24th with an expected attendance of over 5000 people!!!

The LAN:

The LAN will run for 48 hours non-stop, and will consist of 100 pcs and 10 consoles.
It will be a mix of BYOC, a number of rental rigs from our sponsors, and the latest consoles. Admission to the lan is FREE with your registration to the con, however you will need to reserve your spot ahead of time. Registration will be up in late May. There will be a number of casual servers running over the duration of the LAN, along with a number of PC and Console tournaments scattered over the 48 hours.

Sponsors:

This lan is expected to provide passive exposure to over 5000 people. Between the drop-in PCs, consoles, and prize tournaments, we can provide direct exposure to a non stop flow of visitors, as well as the more dedicated tournament players.We have already begun contacting a number of key sponsors for the event, and we will keep you as up to date as possible.
