R-Dot Saskatchewan LAN!

Hey everyone, just saw the forums on some google searching and figured I'd throw this up. Myself and a few others run a LAN party twice a year in Regina, SK. We've been running for a few years now and have 7 events under our belt already. Swag ranging from tshirts to vid cards donated by some of our awesome sponsors. We have an event coming up in a month, (Oct. 24th-25th) and go from 7pm to 7pm. That's right, 24 hours of straight fragging! We have tourny's with CoD4, UT3, WC3:FT, SC (vanilla) and many others. We also have a console tourny, usually with the Wii, as well as a food eating challange and a marathon competition (prize drawn from players who participated in everything). Our last turnout was about 80 people and we've been growing with every event, to a max of 100 seats. We also offer cash prizes for 1st place winners, as well as < $50 value prizes for 2nd/3rd place winners. Our big lewts are all used in door prizes so everyone has a fair chance at getting some of the jaw dropping swag.

Sounds like a lot of fun...
Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as Fratchwaggon when it comes to distance. I hope all goes well and be sure to let us know how it goes.

PS Congrats on being the first Saskatchewan LAN on this site! It's slowly gaining momentum, once province at a time, muwahahahaha!!

Has been a while since I posted, but we're still running strong and growing every event I recently sent out a mass mail about our upcoming event and figured I'd post the info here as well as there seems to be quite a few people who check this site (amazing job guys!)

Hey everyone, just sending out the usual reminder about our upcoming event. R-Dot ChilLAN 2010 is scheduled for May 14th – 15th, 2010 at the Conexus Arts Centre and we’re hoping to fill up the huge room we have available to us. Along with our usual onslaught of gaming action, we’re putting some focus on our console gaming community and are planning a Madden 2010 tourny for the Xbox 360. This tourney will be for cash prizes and we’re hoping to bring in some of those couch potatoes with mad thumb skillz. Our sponsors have been jumping on board like crazy this event and we’re all excited to put on another awesome time and hope everyone can attend and experience the largest LAN party in Saskatchewan. Tell your friends and spread the word so we can max our attendance and make this an event go down in the history books!
